This kit contains two pairs of Infinity KAPPA-86CFX 6x8/5x7" coaxial speakers, the ARC X2-450.4 500 Watt 4 Channel amplifier, and a full wiring kit for installation. The KAPPA-86CFX woofers use glass fiber cones that are lighter, stiffer and provide more cone area than competing designs, producing stronger low-frequency output and greater efficiency. High-output 2.5 ohm architecture with low-impedance voice coils allows the speakers to extract every watt from the amplifier and reproduce peak power without strain. For highs, these speakers employ edge-driven textile dome tweeters — not the commonly used W-domes — delivering a broader, smoother high-frequency response. Infinity subjects their speakers to extreme durability testing that would destroy lesser units: they are frozen, baked, vibrated, exposed to ultraviolet light and run at full power for days at a time.
