This All Books hardcover is the first monograph on Belgian artist Inès van den Kieboom, listed under Ines Van Den Kieboom as sku-2938246639. Born in Ostend in 1930, she lives and works in Antwerp. She has painted since the 1960s but only decided to exhibit her paintings in the last two years. Her work draws on everyday surroundings, art history, popular culture and current affairs; she paints and draws from memory or impressions in figurative forms abstracted to their essence. Markus Stegmann describes her painting as anticyclical and discusses its calm conviction and archaic, supratemporal imagery. The book was made in collaboration with Tim Van Laere Gallery in Antwerp, where her retrospective runs from 23 March to 20 May 2023.
