The attachment makes up to 2.0 quarts, or about 2-quart batches, of soft-serve ice cream. Freeze the bowl for 16 to 24 hours, start the mixer, then pour in the mixture so it does not freeze prematurely. Ice cream takes about 20 to 30 minutes. You can also make slushies and other icy desserts. The attachment uses BPA-free, food-grade materials and has a plastic drive assembly.
Wash the dasher and drive assembly on the dishwasher's top rack. Hand-wash the freezer bowl with water and mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly before freezing.
