The post features a 6mm thickened base plate and a square, topless steel railing tube with a wall thickness of 1.2mm. Unit weight ranges from 4.7 to 7.5 pounds. Note: this deck railing does not include a handrail version. Installation & fit: Designed for straightforward installation by inserting the post into the column; no drilling into the floor is required. Recommended post spacing is 48 inches. The recesses accept panel thicknesses from 3/10" to 1/2". The steel spigot slot is positioned 2 inches above ground height for panel support. Construction & finish: The steel post secures panels firmly and is produced with careful workmanship — the railing channel is polished, sanded and precision cut through multiple steps to ensure a clean fit and finish.
