Alfred Hitchcock on Hitchcock Vol 2 | sku-43152676

This hardcover Performing Arts Books title, sku-43152676, is volume 2 of Alfred Hitchcock's selected writings and interviews, edition 1. Edited by Sidney Gottlieb, it brings together interviews, articles bearing Hitchcock's byline and as-told-to pieces, including material that has long been out of print or difficult to find.

Hitchcock discusses his life, filmmaking techniques and his aim to create commercially successful, artistically ambitious "pure cinema" across a career spanning seven decades. The collection also includes François Truffaut's observation that Hitchcock had given unusual thought to the potential of his art.
