Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, Black, SKU sku-13292756949, UPC 465573412207. This historic reproduction print depicts an X-ray at Garfield Hospital dated 11/20/22 and measures 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The seller also offers retro posters, including holiday subjects and early aerial city views, for display or gifts.
