Snapshots of the Past sku-13215601400 is a Black, size L Wall Art reproduction titled WILLCOX, W.F. PROFESSOR, measuring 16 x 20 inches; UPC 464913939381. The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from the Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions on fine-art and archival paper using pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. Archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to help the prints last for generations.

The range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display at home or work or to give as gifts.
