No rating yet(0 ratings)This Black, size L Wall Art print from Snapshots of the Past reproduces a poster advertising J.M. French's Oriental Circus in Roxbury on Thursday, Sept. 9th, 1869. It measures 16" x 20". The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.
Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008.
Lithography was invented in 1796 and made inexpensive mass production of posters possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.
The prints use archival paper and pigmented inks, materials intended to last for generations. The range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13276104800. UPC: 461771773720.
