Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13320263275

Snapshots of the Past offers this Black, size L Wall Art reproduction of a 1919b view of Spokane from South Hill, measuring 7" wide by 36" long. The company, founded in 2001, says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its historical maps, photos and prints are restored from Library of Congress archives and produced on archival paper with pigmented inks. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history. The company's range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
