Snapshots of the Past Wall Art in Black, size L, SKU sku-13269513533, UPC 465621096144. The 16" x 20" historic print shows Triangle Motor Co. Inc., a Ford dealer probably in Washington, D.C. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on archival paper using pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it describes itself as the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, enabling inexpensive mass-produced prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections relating to American cultural heritage. The brand also offers vintage posters, including holiday subjects and early aerial views of cities, for display or gifts.
