The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home display. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.
