The print measures 16 x 20 inches. UPC: 469776018525. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass-produced posters, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.
