Snapshots of the Past offers this Black Wall Art print, size L, of The old maid and her tom cat by G. Cruikshank. The title gives its dimensions as 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says its prints have been sold through over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as to tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, a technique that enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints, was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history.

The source also suggests historic Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco as decor or gifts. UPC: 466209230998. SKU: sku-13235200809.
