Snapshots of the Past Fokker Wall Art L sku-13229119687

Snapshots of the Past sku-13229119687 is Black Wall Art in size L, UPC 467533848217. The 16 by 20 inch historic print depicts the Fokker monoplane in which Bernt Balchen, Lt. June and Professor Gould were forced down in Antarctica during a scientific flight.

The brand reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine art and archival paper, using pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The brand also offers old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco as home decor or gifts.
