Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13245608424, is a Black, size L historic print showing The Caille-Schiemer Co. bagatelle machine from above. The print measures 16" x 20"; UPC 465500518668. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks and are intended to last for generations.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and retro-style posters for homes, studies or workplaces. The prints can also be given as gifts.
