Snapshots of the Past Taft Wall Art L sku-13223773906

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13223773906, UPC 469644452048, is a Black, size L, 16" x 20" reproduction print of William Howard Taft signing the reciprocity bill. The company restores historical maps, photos, and prints from Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The company's range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco. The prints can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts.
