It is a 16" x 20" historic reproduction in Black, listed as size L. The company restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives and uses archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history. The seller also suggests historic posters, including holiday designs and early aerial city views, as home, study or workplace decor and gifts.
