The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and makes reproductions with archival paper and pigmented inks, intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's other prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

They can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
