Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13663965710

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, is a Black historic print of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on July 7, when the House and Senate recessed so legislators could view the 1937 All-Star event. The print measures 16" x 20". The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives on archival paper using pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage. The range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. SKU: sku-13663965710. UPC: 466331524392.
