Snapshots of the Past reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, helping make mass-produced prints inexpensive. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history.

The brand also offers historical posters and early aerial views of cities for display at home or work or as gifts. SKU: sku-13245858799. UPC: 466071654410.
