The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. The source also discusses lithography, invented in 1796, and the Library of Congress American Memory pilot project of 1989, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program begun in 1995.

That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history. Other prints mentioned include holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco; the source suggests them for homes, studies, workplaces or gifts.
