Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13215401786

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts George Washington's headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. It measures 16" x 20", is listed as Black in size L, and carries sku-13215401786 and UPC 464000643788. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives as fine-art reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks, using respected fine-art paper brands.

The prints are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of Internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on the complexity of American cultural heritage.

The company's retro-style offerings also include Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. They can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
