The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine-art and archival paper, using pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online buyers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

The company's background notes that lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of prints possible. It also cites the Library of Congress American Memory pilot project, begun in 1989, as the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural heritage.

Its broader range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered as decor or gifts.
