Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13266767670

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts Queen Semiramis seated in a three-quarter-length portrait, facing a man, with a woman behind her. The title credits Guercino and V.A. Bruckmann, München. This Black, size L reproduction measures 16" x 20" and draws on Library of Congress archives.

The company was founded in 2001 and says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. It reports buyers among over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers, and says it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Its prints use archival paper and pigmented inks.

The listing also discusses historical prints as home decor or gifts, including holiday posters and early aerial views of cities. It notes that lithography was invented in 1796 and that the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989.

That pilot laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. SKU sku-13266767670; UPC 464201885482.
