Snapshots of the Past offers this 16 x 20-inch reproduction print of Professor William Osler in a half-length portrait, seated at a desk. It is Black Wall Art in size L, SKU sku-13260407654, UPC 466569589538, made from an image in the Library of Congress archives.

The company restores historical maps, photos and prints for home decor and makes its prints with archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company's other prints include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

Retro-style posters can be displayed at home or work or given as gifts.
