Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print L sku-13261055530

This Black, size L Wall Art print from Snapshots of the Past depicts the Pringle mansion, British headquarters, in Charleston, S.C., and measures 16" x 20". The company, founded in 2001, reproduces historical images restored from Library of Congress archives.

It says it was the first to offer those images as fine-art reproduction prints, has sold to over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers, and was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Its reproductions use archival paper and pigmented inks.

Lithography was invented in 1796; the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, and the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's range includes historical maps, photos and posters, including holiday images and early aerial views of cities, for display or gifts.
