Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, Black, sku-13276752758 (UPC 465295614026): Historic Print, President Lincoln at Genl. Grant's headquarters, 16" x 20". Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. The collection reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on archival paper with pigmented inks for long-term display. It includes vintage holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass-produced prints, was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program began in 1995 to digitize selected collections about American cultural heritage.
