Snapshots of the Past Longfellow Wall Art L sku-13262115918

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction print of a portrait of Professor Longfellow, measuring 16 x 20 inches. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and uses archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural history. SKU: sku-13262115918. UPC: 468378168300.
