Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13259557200, UPC 466870285440, is listed in Black and size L. This 16" x 20" reproduction print shows F. Gerling's poster, “Podpishites na 5 1/2% voennyi zaeumlm. Prodolzhite put k pobiedie,” translated in the listing as “Subscribe to the 5 1/2% war loan. Build the road to victory.”

Snapshots of the Past restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor. Founded in 2001, the company says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for a White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints. A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down. The range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Retro-style posters can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
