This 16" x 20" historic print depicts Petersburg, Virginia, in the vicinity of Major G. of the 50th New York Engineers. It is Black Wall Art in size L from Snapshots of the Past, sku-13259957324, UPC 464708602308. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives on fine-art and archival paper, using pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history.
