Snapshots of the Past Wall Art sku-13255856496 (UPC 469517994866) is a Black, size L reproduction print showing the ruins of houses in Petersburg, Virginia. It measures 16" x 20" and is part of a range of historical maps, photos and prints reproduced from Library of Congress archives. The company says its prints use archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. It cites over 200 bookstores and other retailers, tens of thousands of online customers and selection as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. The listing also notes that lithography was invented in 1796.

A Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory began in 1989 and laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural heritage.

Other prints mentioned in the range include old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco; the listing suggests them for home, study, workplace or gifts.
