This Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art is a Black reproduction print of the Female Seminary in Petersburg, Virginia, sized 16 x 20 inches. Its SKU is sku-13227167215 and its UPC is 466255695215. The company makes historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, developed in 1796, made inexpensive mass-produced prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; the National Digital Library Program followed in 1995 to digitize selected collections focused on American cultural history. The company's collection includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.
