Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13245358125, is a Black print in size L. UPC: 469915381008. It depicts officers of the 114th Pennsylvania Infantry playing cards in Petersburg, Virginia, and measures 16 x 20 inches. The company reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from the Library of Congress archives using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, making inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. The company's range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered as decor or gifts.
