Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art L sku-13272568165

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art reproduces historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives. This black print is size L and depicts 'People Puck would like to introduce - Professor Munsterberg of Harvard to Truth' at 16" x 20". The company was founded in 2001 and was the first to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections documenting American cultural heritage. These reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes historical posters for Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, plus early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. Such prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts. SKU: sku-13272568165. UPC: 465027066260.
