Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L Print sku-13260307042

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art is a Black, size L reproduction of the historic “Pap, soup, and chowder” print, measuring 16 x 20 inches. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress archives and produces reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online buyers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796, allowing inexpensive mass production of prints.

A 1989 Library of Congress pilot project called American Memory laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company also offers historical posters and early aerial views of cities as decor or gifts. SKU: sku-13260307042. UPC: 465241098627.
