Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural history. The company also offers historical posters and early aerial city views for display or gifting.
