The company restores archival maps, photos and prints from the Library of Congress and uses archival paper and pigmented inks for its reproductions.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography was invented in 1796 and helped make mass-produced prints inexpensive.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989, laying the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural history.

The company's range also includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
