Snapshots of the Past sku-13242368505 is Black Wall Art in size L, UPC 464271002277. This 16 by 20 inch historic print names Ollie James, J.M. Waller, John R. Downing, J.C. Utterbeck, and Capt. C.C. Calhoun. The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photographs, and prints restored from the Library of Congress archives.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

In 1989, the Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project, which laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program launched in 1995. That program digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
