The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last a lifetime and be passed down. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints.

Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Printing techniques enabled inexpensive mass production of posters; lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections on American cultural heritage.

The catalog includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, offered for display at home or work and as gifts.
