Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, size L, Black, SKU sku-13245758285, UPC 467446961232. This Noble woman historical print measures 16 x 20 inches. The company reproduces maps, photos and prints restored from the Library of Congress archives, using fine-art and archival paper.

Its prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of online customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of poster prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage.

The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters, as well as early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. These retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
