Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Lithography was invented in 1796.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 to digitize selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The company's collection also includes historical maps, photographs, posters and early aerial city views.

Its prints can be displayed at home or at work and given as gifts.
