Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L | sku-13337570973

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, sku-13337570973, UPC 467671297656, is a Black, size L reproduction of a 1911 Country Club photo from Asheville, NC. It measures 7" wide by 36" long. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper with pigmented inks and are intended to last for generations. The company's range also includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or as gifts.
