Snapshots of the Past Wall Art, color Black, size L, SKU sku-13255856742, UPC 463006347423. This 16" x 20" historic print depicts Mt. Washington, Lake of the Clouds and the summit in the Presidential Range of New Hampshire's White Mountains. The company reproduces historical maps, photographs and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections about American cultural heritage. The company's reproduction prints are made for long-term display.

Its range also includes holiday posters and early aerial views of cities, which can be displayed at home or at work or given as gifts.
