Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, helped make inexpensive mass-produced poster prints possible. The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989, laying the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995. That program digitizes selected Library collections focused on the complex history of American cultural heritage.

The reproductions use fine-art and archival paper; prints made with archival paper and pigmented inks can last a lifetime and be passed down. The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The retro-style prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts.
