Snapshots of the Past L Wall Art sku-13256720353 Print

This Snapshots of the Past Wall Art print depicts Mrs. J.M. Batterton and measures 16" x 20". It is a Black, size L reproduction restored from Library of Congress archives, made with archival paper and pigmented inks. The company offers historical maps, photos and prints as home decor, including old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

Its prints are intended to last a lifetime and be passed down. Snapshots of the Past was founded in 2001 and says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers.

It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project in 2008. Lithography, which enabled inexpensive mass production of prints, was invented in 1796. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history.
