Thomas H. Massie, facing front. UPC: 463951226927. The brand restores historical maps, photographs and prints from Library of Congress archives for home decor.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproduction prints. Its customers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers and tens of thousands of online customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the 2008 White House redecoration project. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks.

The brand also offers retro posters, including holiday images and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, for display or as gifts.
