Snapshots of the Past offers this 16" x 20" historic print of Mrs. Dora Palkin as Wall Art. The listing is Black, size L, sku-13303755010, UPC 466426650463. Its historical maps, photos and prints are reproductions restored from Library of Congress archives and made with fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers include over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008.

Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible. The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; that project laid the foundation for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural history.

The company's range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The prints are offered for display at home, in a study or at work, or as gifts.
