The company makes reproductions of historical maps, photos and prints restored from Library of Congress archives, using archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations. Founded in 2001, it says it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers; it was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography was invented in 1796 and enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections concerning American cultural heritage. The range includes old Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

The prints can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts. UPC: 466854243497. SKU: sku-13255606415.
