Snapshots of the Past Wall Art Print L sku-13323702494

Snapshots of the Past Black Wall Art, size L, sku-13323702494, UPC 464063828344, reproduces a 1909 Kansas City photo from Kersey Coates. The print measures 7 inches wide by 36 inches long. The company restores historical maps, photos and prints from Library of Congress archives and produces reproductions on archival paper with pigmented inks.

Founded in 2001, it was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as fine-art reproduction prints. Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, as well as tens of thousands of internet customers. It was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, enabled inexpensive mass production of prints.

The Library of Congress began its American Memory pilot in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections on American cultural history. The company's range includes old holiday posters and early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco for display at home or work or to give as gifts.
