Snapshots of the Past Wall Art L sku-13208416165 Print

Snapshots of the Past Wall Art reproduces the historic Miriam S. Hollowell print, listed at 16" x 20". This Black, size L print is part of a range of historical maps, photographs and prints restored from the Library of Congress archives. Founded in 2001, Snapshots of the Past was the first company to offer Library of Congress images as museum-quality fine-art reproductions.

Its buyers have included over 200 bookstores and other retailers, along with tens of thousands of internet customers. The company was selected as a vendor for the White House redecoration project of 2008. Lithography, invented in 1796, made inexpensive mass production of prints possible.

The Library of Congress launched its American Memory pilot project in 1989; it laid the groundwork for the National Digital Library Program, which began in 1995 and digitizes selected collections focused on American cultural heritage. These reproductions use fine-art archival paper and pigmented inks intended to last for generations.

The range includes retro posters for Halloween, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, as well as early aerial views of Manhattan, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. They can be displayed at home, in a study or at work, or given as gifts. SKU sku-13208416165; UPC 463853449455.
